Today’s ride took me out of Vienna to the town of Kornueberg. This is part of the actual route I will take tomorrow as I head to Krems an der Donau. This was a 31 mile round trip and took about 2 and half hours. Krems is 50 miles away so hopefully 4-5 hours. I hope to leave the hotel between 9 and 10. Fun fact. At Kornueberg I decided to take a break on the trail at the edges of parking lot for a biergarten when this older Austrian dude came up and said something that I couldn’t quite make out, but sounded like, ‘something plinky something ‘ and then he started to take a leak. Â Apparently he was saying, ‘this is our pissing spot’. I figured taking a pic would be poor form so I’ll try to get one later.
